Whiteboard History
Previous  Next

The VMT Chat tool has a special scroll bar that you can use to view the history of actions performed on the white board. That is, one can see how the drawings on the white board have evolved over time step by step. Moreover, the scroll bar also shows who performed each action.

There's a scrolling handle on the left edge of the white board (see the figure below). Use your mouse to drag the handle to browse through the white board history. After you left click on the handle, you can also use up/down arrow keys on your keyboard to control the movement of the handle. The text displayed along the left edge indicates who performed the action and when it was done.

Tip #1: If you accidentally delete an object, you can use the history scroll bar to bring that object back. To do that:

       1. Scroll back in the white board history to locate the deleted object,
       2. Select the objects and copy them to the clipboard by pressing the graphic button
           (or CTRL-C).
       3. Pull the scroll bar to the bottom so that you will be at the current state of the
board (or press the graphic button
       4. To paste press the graphic button (or press CTRL-V).

Tip #2: If you think that the white board is not functioning in the way it used to be (e.g. you cannot edit a text box, or draw something), then it is very likely that your white board history scroll bar is not pointing to the current state. If you experience this problem make sure that the scroll bar indicator is at the bottom.
