Students are encouraged to tour the Mutter Museum on their own prior to the library tour. In addition to the library tour, students will be introduced to the Regional Community Health Information System (RCHIS) internet portal.

Thursday, February 27: Basic Legal Research Classes
GPLLA offers its basic legal research classes starting 2/27 and continuing for 5 (five) additional weeks. Topics include: research in case law, statutes, administrative regulations, and secondary materials. The classes will also offer an overview of electronic legal research.

Cost: $185 (includes textbook)

Friday, March 28: Mini Medical School for Librarians
(Students Welcome!) 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Mini Medical School is a Continuing Education Program (CE) designed for health sciences, special, and public librarians who work with consumer health issues and desire an introduction to the basics of clinical medicine. Lecture topics include:

  1. The Course of Learning: Concepts that Underlie the Training of Physicians
  2. Anatomy and Physiology, Public Health
  3. Pharmacology Pearls
  4. Cancer
  5. Mental Health
No prerequisite required.
