iSchool at Drexel alumnus Lawrence James co-founder of Connexus Technology and PrayerConnexus.com will be featured on CBS-3 Philadelphias Brotherly Love series, Wednesday, October 21 at 4:15 p.m. Brotherly Love features area residents and organizations who are working to improve the lives of those in need.
James, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems in 2002, is president and CEO of Connexus Technology, a company he launched with fellow Drexel alum Christopher Holland (CIO/COO) in 2003, which consults in the public and private sectors from New Jersey to Virginia, designing Web data-driven applications, providing organizations with personnel through IT staffing services, and providing organizations with new media and interactive media solutions.
He is also the founder of PrayerConnexus.com a social-networking site designed to help people worldwide use technology to connect with each other in prayer. While James was initially inspired to create PrayerConnexus.com after experiencing first-hand communication issues among the members of his church, he stepped up his efforts to create a more usable, innovative platform during a his battle with cancer two years ago. Today, James is cancer-free. An upgraded version of PrayerConnexus.com was launched on Easter Sunday of this year, and is used by churches and individuals around the world. The site is fully funded by the revenues from Connexus Technology.
