Title:  SCImago Journal Rank (SJR)

Abstract
SJR, SCImago Journal Rank is a Citation Indicator based on the Google Pagerank and Pinski & Narin's (1976) "Influence Weights." Their main differences are that it uses a larger database (Scopus), a citation window of three years and it takes into account both the number of references of a citing journal and the overall prestige of the citing journal. This means not all citations are considered equal; those coming from journals with higher SJRs are given more weight.

Biography
Dr. Vicente Guerrero is Titular Professor of University in the Faculty of Library and Information Science of the University of Extremadura, Spain. He is the head of the Department of Information and Comunication of the University of Extremadura. He received his bachelor degree in Physics from the University of Extremadura, his master degree in Automated Computing from the Complutense University of Madrid and his doctorate in Information Science from the University of Granada. His research interests include Bibliometric Indicators, Information Visualization and Information Retrieval. He is the principal investigator of research grants from the Spanish Research Plan I+D+I, European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Research Plan of Extremadura. His one-month visit to the iSchool at Drexel is hosted by Dr. Chaomei Chen.
