I am an Assistant Professor in the College of Information Science and Technology at Drexel University. Before Drexel, I received a Doctor of Philosophy in Management from the Department
of Management Information Systems, Eller
College of Management, University
of Arizona. Before UofA, I got a Bachelor
of Engineering in Management Information Systems
and a Master of Science in Management from Tsinghua
University, Beijing, China.
My research interests are knowledge discovery
(data/text/web mining), machine learning, network analysis, and their applications in various
application domains, including business process analysis, customer relationship management, bioinformatics, security,
education, etc. My research has particularly focused
on feature construction, selection, and consolidation
for knowledge discovery. I have published several research articles in journals such as Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology, Bioinformatics, IEEE Transactions
on Information Technology in Biomedicine, Communications of ACM, Decision Support Systems, Journal of Association for Information Systems, etc.
My teaching interests include database systems, data mining, text mining, and quantitative analysis methods. I have been teaching INFO 605 Database Management (I) at Drexel University. Before joining Drexel, I have taught MIS undergraduate courses such
as Using and Managing Information Systems
and Introduction to Basic Operations Management.
