Toward a Model Curriculum for the management of digital information, the Institute of Museum and Library Services "Librarians for the 21st Century" program has awarded $291,000 to the
College of Information Science and Technology (IST) to develop a model curriculum for the management of digital information. This project will build institutional capacity in areas such as metadata development and management, online repositories, digital libraries, and digital preservation. The Drexel College of Media Arts and Design (CoMAD) is a partner and will develop new courses on librarianship for digital media with IST. In addition, the grant will support work with the Free Library of Philadelphia. This project will run from 8/1/05 to 7/31/08.
