Aleksandra Sarcevic is an Assistant Professor of Information Science in the College of Computing and Informatics at Drexel University. Her research interests lie in the areas of computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW), human-computer interaction (HCI) and health informatics. She received her PhD from the School of Communication and Information (SC&I) at Rutgers University.

June 2016: Our paper on checklists as memory externalization tools has been accepted to AMIA 2016 Annual Symposium!
March 2016: Our paper on design challenges in converting paper checklists to digital format has been accepted to Pervasive Health 2016 conference!
August 2015: I was back again this summer for another lunchtime series talk at the robotic/tech camp Robot Springboard @ Drexel for middle school girls enrolled in the Philadelphia area schools. The enthusiasm these girls show for science is energizing and impressive!
April 2015: Our paper on constructing awareness through speech, gesture, gaze and movement during a time-critical medical task has been accepted to ECSCW 2015 conference!
August 2014: Panel on digital checklists and cognitive aids in medicine accepted to AMIA 2014! Drs. Winters (Johns Hopkins Medicine), Burd (Children's National Medical Center), and Chu (Stanford University) will share their experiences with checklist design and development on Tuesday, November 18 @ 10.30am.
August 2014: A paper with my PhD student Diana Kusunoki on designing for temporal awareness in time-critical medical work has been accepted to ACM CSCW 2015!
August 2014: As part of my outreach efforts, I gave a lunchtime talk to middle school girls from the Philadelphia area schools enrolled in the 2014 robotic/tech camp Robot Springboard @ Drexel. Rachael and Hannah Tipperman, two exceptional young ladies who founded this camp were featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer.
