About Me & My Research Interests

I am an Assistant Professor in the College of Information Science and Technology, also known as The iSchool, at Drexel University. Before coming to Drexel, I spent a year as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I completed my doctoral studies in Information Science at the School of Communication and Information at Rutgers University in October 2009.

The goal of my research is to understand how individuals within collocated teams interact, communicate and make decisions while solving complex problems under time pressure. So far, my research has focused on studying trauma resuscitation teams as they treat severely injured patients immediately after injury. My approach is multidisciplinary, user-centered and team-oriented. I work closely with engineers, computer scientists and trauma surgeons to inform the design of technological solutions to support information sharing and medical decision making.
