Career Reports from Information Systems and Technology Professionals

Irina Dymarsky, '06, ITLDP Associate Analyst, Johnson & Johnson
I joined Johnson & Johnson (J&J)as a member of the Information Technology Leadership Development Rotational Program (ITLDP), having graduated from the iSchool with a dual BS/MS degree in Information Systems.

My first eight-month rotation was at Corporate Headquarters working with Regulatory Compliance. As a member of the Global Common Compliance project team, I coordinated and led global team meetings, created project marketing materials (posters/logos), and developed executive and team communications. I completed Six Sigma training and received Green Belt certification for project analyzing and eliminating compliance requirements redundancy.

I’m currently on my second rotation with one of the smallest J&J Operating Companies in North America: Independence Technology L.L.C., which manufactures and sells one of the most innovative J&J products -- the iBOT® 4000 Mobility System.  My role is to partner with representatives from every part of the company in order to meet their IT objectives. As a result, I am exposed to and actively involved in every area of the business. The primary objective of this rotation is to develop a Cognos 8 reporting solution that measures sales, process cycle times and yield for the sales and marketing team.

Michael Andescavage, '06, Technical Support Specialist II, Avenue A | Razorfish
I am the lead IT staff member of thePhiladelphia office.  I manage IT co-ops, am responsible for technical purchasing decisions, maintaining our servers, local backup and recovery, and ensuring our employees are working as efficiently as possible by providing them the services that they need.  I also work closely with our other offices nationally and globally as a VPN, Oracle and Blackberry administrator.  Recently, I have been working on creating test-dev environments that mimic our production environment, which will allow us to test new software and hardware before deployment companywide.
