| Since 1999, The iSchool has hosted the Pennsylvania Governor's School for Information, Society and Technology (PGSIST), one of Pennsylvania's eight Governor's Schools of Excellence. These full scholarship summer enrichment programs are committed to meeting the educational needs of academically talented high school students through five-week-long summer residential programs on college campuses. The PGSIST program offers selected students from across the state the opportunity to indulge and inform their creativity and intelligence in the field of information technology in all its facets. Particular focus is given to systems analysis and design, database management systems, interaction design, networking, and policy and ethical issues. The 2008 PGSIST will be held from June 29 to August 2. For a complete description of the program's curriculum, application and selection processes, or to obtain an application, please visit the PGSIST website.
