Post-master's Specializations are available in: All five courses are required for the Post-Master's Specialist Program. Applicants for the post-masters certificate must have a master's degree from an ALA-accredited program or a graduate degree closely related to the chosen specialization (e.g. history for the Archives Specialist program) as well as prerequisites for individual courses. Prerequisites may be waived at the time of admission. Those students holding non ALA-accredited master's degrees and those who lack prerequisites are eligible to apply for the ACIST program. The Post-Master's Specialist Program must be completed in three years, and will be recorded on the student's transcript. Students who complete the five courses will receive a credential entitled Archives Specialist, Competitive Intelligence and Knowledge Management Specialist, Digital Libraries Specialist, or Youth Services Specialist.
