Dr. Abels' primary research interests focus on access in electronic environments and information seeking behaviors. She is currently a faculty advisor for the Internet Public Library (www.ipl.org). Her major teaching areas are electronic resources, business information and digital reference. Dr. Abels' professional experience includes positions in a variety of special libraries, including an electrical research institute, a management consulting firm and an accounting firm.
