Selection and Award Process

Applications are accepted via the iSchool Web form only through the deadline date. The iSchool Scholarship Committee (comprised of iSchool faculty) reviews all applications and makes all award recommendations, which are then approved/denied by the iSchool Dean. The committee also decides the amount of each award, unless otherwise specified by the donor. Award amounts vary based on program level.

Once awardees are identified, award offer letters are sent out to all recipients. The recipients must sign and return the offer letters to receive the awards. All awardees must submit (to the iSchool) proof of enrollment for the term the scholarship is awarded. The iSchool then instructs the Drexel University Office of Financial Aid to apply the awards to student accounts.

All awardee names are posted on the iSchool Scholarship Web page.

The iSchool hosts an annual Honors & Awards Evening every Spring to recognize all scholarship and award winners as well as the top graduating BS and MS students. Scholarship donors are also invited and introduced to respective awardees prior to the ceremony.

All awardees are encouraged to attend this exclusive and fun evening to be recognized for their achievement!
