Introduces students to major types of organizational information systems and their development and use.

Curriculum Role:
This is a required course for BSIS, and BSIT students. This course is usually taken in the beginning of freshman year.
Course Rationale:
This course aims at bringing all students to a level of familiarity with software products and information systems that will be necessary throughout the program.
Course Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, a student will be able to:
Operate several microcomputer software products
List basic functions of major types of organizational information systems
Explain uses of major types of organizational information systems
Describe the process of developing information systems
Distinguish different types of information systems
