Registration
The BS/MS student's time ticket is the same as it always was, based on the student's undergraduate classification. However, because this is a special program, students can register when current graduate students register. Since the Banner system will not allow for this exception, students must e-mail his/her advisor a list of their registration requests, including CRNs. The BS/MS advisor will then handle each student on a first-come, first-serve basis, which is why registration requests must be emailed.

Note: iSchool policy states that students can not register for more than 20 credits per term unless they are a graduating senior.

Registering for Online Graduate Classes

 The iSchool allows regular online graduate students to register for their classes during the first two weeks of registration.  On the Monday of the 2nd week of registration, the College considers other requests. Therefore, BS/MS students interested in taking an online graduate course should e-mail their advisor on the Monday of the 2nd week of registration. If there is still room in the course and the prerequisites have been met, the student's advisor will try and register the student for the requested course.

Tips from current BS/MS students about registration
  • Take only one GR level course in your first term of the program
  • Take your first GR level course in the on-campus format rather than the online format
