Drexel University/Free Library of Philadelphia Children's Literature Citation

Established in 1963, the Drexel University/Free Library of Philadelphia Children's Literature Citation is awarded to authors, illustrators, publishers and others who have made outstanding contributions to the field of literature for children. The recipient must hail from Philadelphia, or have contributed significantly to literature for children in the Philadelphia area. Recipients receive an individually designed and hand-lettered citation. The award is co-sponsored by the Free Library of Philadelphia.
